MEP Marian Harkin outlines how her work with IOA has helped to adopt measures that will encourage organic farming

MEP Marian Harkin has outlined how she has succeeded in implementing changes which will make organic farming more practical for certified farmers here in Ireland. Marian worked closely with IOA to argue against proposed changes and to ensure that organic farmers continue to be able to meet strict organic regulations. The European Parliament’s Agriculture and Rural Development Committee has adopted a number of measures that will encourage organic farming.
